One major building block in Satanism is/always will be the deprogramming of ones self from herd mentality.
Deprogramming creates the "individual",makes a Satanist a Satanist.
Of course this isn't always easy for some to accomplish...
Hence looking around us we see the same old beaten dogs obeying master's every command without question.
From the beginning of time man has always been a follower(aside from theistic practices...this pertains more to a "follow" the leader aspect).He has always needed to be lead around by  leash & collar and told when to sit/heel etc.. Satanism's idealogy removes that collar and sets one free to run on his/her own,so to speak.To take a look and see things for himself,to explore the unexplored,to make his/her own choices,philosophical decisions etc..
This requires doing away with dogmatic conformity as most all Satanists will agree(yet many seem to forget this while they go on ranting of their certain "one-true-way",lol).
You are your own master on this ball of dirt w/your own eyes and own minds.As a Satanist you are expected to question everything and draw your own conclusions.
This means Dogma as well,in all its forms..We feel it is more than fair to question some of these"individuals" out there as to how they justify preaching a supposed anti-dogmatic philosophy revolving around individualism while following so many themselves?
 Even worse,from the very same philosophy? er' at least the "opinions" of their founder...Well? Yes,you in the front row w/the shaved head and goatee,can you answere? How about you in the 3rd row w/the shaved head and goatee? And you in the last row w/the shaved head and goatee? Unique individuals eh..(Note to self..."dont take lessons cocerning individuality from guys that all look,dress and act the same;)
If told to jump they would check w/the current chief to find an agreement on "how high"? as opposed to  the proper Satanic reply of "how come"?
The Satanic Bible was/always shall be a universal primer for any adept in order to grasp the concepts of Satanism's philosophical basis as many of us believe...yet keep in mind that studying does not stop with one book read..and never even begins without personal thought. 
In time many Satanists have outgrown Hell's playpen and started developing their own "it's","and's","or's","but's" and raised many questions of their own,some have even been there long before the Satanic Bible(contrary to pop belief,of course on that same note...still being strongly influenced by the book).
This in turn led Satanism itself into a new age,into its own lil' revolution,splitting it into many directions/denominations.
Many independant orgs were formed,each with their own additives.This was not a bad thing it was in fact a great thing and bound to happen.Satanism has left its stagnate state and is evolving like so many other beliefs/philosophies.
Finally the religion built on questioning everything has finally "majorally"questioned even itself for some change...and yes,like all other religions,the original "public"dust bunnies cant stand it.You all have proven yourselves a threat long ago.So hail to all of you Setians,Diabolists,Atheistic,Spiritualistic,pro-unity Satanists and all else for taking a stand from the beginning to present day no matter.
Most of all though...Hail to the "Individuals" who makes his/her own call on life and are able to pick&sift for the small precious stones rather than just taking the entire bag of dirt home w/them!
